BUTTERFLY

Work in progress

Le cosmos est pour l'homme l'espace du silence.
Giordano Bruno

Butterfly is a performance of dance movement, which explores the possibility to free our inhibitions through transformation. It is a path without skills or a narrative in ten steps: ten moments of the evolution that 8 interpreters go throught, in a scenic space divided in 10 numbered plots. Mercedes Boronat, the choreographer, puts her attention into the liberation and the metamorphosis: amazing, funny, tragic, metaphoric. Mercedes Boronat uses her extensive experience in a clipping of life, which describes something trascendental in a true lived experience.

LA HOMELESS

An out of place performance

La HOMELESS like a metaphor

“I would like to show in a public space something intimate, like dreaming in a square with a 100 decibel acoustic contamination”
La Homeless is a metaphor about what means to be out of place
LaLa Homeless presents herself in a public space to express a private moment.

La Homeless shows herself without filters. She’s a free woman. Without fears, sleeping under the stars, bathing in fountains, and without time limits nor social obligations, she isn’t worried about the last Almodòvar movie, she doesn’t vote, she hasn’t nor e-mail neither follows artichoke diet, she isn’t worried to sing out of tune, she speaks about whatever she wants, whenever she wants and with whoever she wants.

La Homeless is a sweet provocation.

THE PERFORMANCE

La Homeless is the second performance created by Mercedes Boronat working on the issue of being out of place.
La Homeless will occupy a three-meter space ground, a private space in a common one.
The opera is minded to be suitable to every kind of space, both a theatre or a square, night and day.

MOKSHA I

Visual installation

Moksha I is a visual and sound installation, a real painting, created by the interdisciplinary collaboration between dance and audiovisual creation, inside a pictorial format.

Moksha I consisted of three real paintings “hombre congelado”, “huir”, “to be”.

The series of these three paintings have a chronological and rhytmic order. It forms an introduction, a knot and a loosen up from the reflection of the liberation that shows itself.
The content of the series of three paintings expose us the limits (“hombre congelado”) and obligations that we bring (“huir”) and the conclusion (“to be”) communicate the satisfaction of the liberation from these.
In Hinduism Moksha is the liberation, part of the triad life / death / existence.
It isn’t only a result but ,also, a regular process that embraces present life and experience sequence.
Moksha I, the liberation from tasks and limits, is the culmination of a large research by Mercedes Boronat as a choreographer.
This content opens a new step in her way, now that is obvious that her desire is to express this theme so recurrent in human life.
