Dansa a Cel Obert is a street dance festival created and directed by Mercedes Boronat since 1997.

Dansa a Cel Obert has been created thanks to support and help of the Tarragona Culture Department included in the FET summer programme (festival d’estiu de Tarragona).

All performances staged have been for free, so to invite all spectators to rediscover their own squares, streets and their own city transformed by ephemeral arts movement.

Dansa a Cel Obert gave space to new creators supporting their activities, inviting companies worldwide recognised having the opportunity to explore a new public not yet accustomed to see dance shows.

We have always tried to show different tendencies of movement arts, introducing contemporary dance art shows, improvisations, performances, considering that creators work with the intention of surprising and educating a new public.
